Post 16 Welcome
At the Harris Federation we offer a wide range of highly successful academic and vocational courses. These include A/AS Levels, the International Baccalaureate, BTEC Levels 2 and 3 and industry standard ICT qualifications. The range of courses on offer has been carefully selected in order to meet the needs of a wide range of students, including those from Harris Academies and from other schools in the area.
Harris Federation Post 16 offers a broad curriculum at each site. This allows us to accommodate the variety of courses students now wish to follow.
The Harris Federation comprises a successful and vibrant Post 16 where students routinely achieve good grades and progress onto both higher education and successful careers. This reflects not only the range of courses on offer, but also the high quality of teaching and excellent support systems available. Our teachers are very well qualified and they make use of tried and tested teaching techniques coupled with the latest technology, in first class facilities.
In addition, the Federation has a wealth of expert specialist staff on hand to offer advice and help, as well as a system to provide regular feedback to students. Students within the Federation are regularly encouraged to reflect upon their performance with their tutors and to set goals for themselves that will lead to future success.
The majority of our students progress onto Higher Education. Student destinations include all types of universities and colleges across the United Kingdom and beyond. Former Harris students can be found studying for degrees at Oxford and Cambridge as well as for foundation courses at The London Institute. We have Theoretical Physicists at Exeter, Doctors at Guys, Chemists at Kings, Accountants at Manchester and Artists at St Martins.
We also provide a special coaching course for Oxbridge entry. Among those choosing not to progress to university a number take up management trainee positions across a wide range of commercial and business fields.
