Cisco Network Academy

Year 12 Content
The Cisco Networking Academy programme is a comprehensive course designed to teach students Internet technology skills. The Networking Academy programme delivers Web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on-labs, and preparation for industry standard certifications. In the Year 12 two-semester programme, students progress from computing basics through to learning the skills necessary to set up networks.
 



Assessments

To successfully complete semesters 1 and 2, students must pass end of chapter and end of semester examinations. Students must also pass practical lab-type tests.

Entry Requirements
Students require a minimum of 5 A*-C grades at GCSE or equivalent, including grade B or above in Mathematics.

Career Progression
Employers around the world face a shortage of trained IT professionals to fill key technical positions in the information economy. This course will provide students wishing to follow a career in ICT with excellent background knowledge and is especially suited to those wishing to work in the field of networking.
